If you live near Highland Street in Swatara Township, this one is close to home. Commissioners voted 4-1 on Wednesday night to approve the land development plan for a data center planned around Highland Street.
Residents raised concerns about noise, power use and property values. WHP reports officials said state regulations limited what they could do. Commission President Shaela Ellis said: “I can't say I disagree with you, but at the same time, we are tasked with following the law.”
- Community benefits agreements: approved last month, $120.3 million in all
- Highlands West: $84.15 million, planned over Dauphin Highlands Golf Course
