- ➤ Staff Sgt. Clifford Keeney—killed in action in Sept. 1944 when his plane was shot down in Germany—was laid to rest Friday in York Township after his family ended an 81-year search for his remains. DNA samples given 35 years ago helped identify him in June, and his burial next to his parents brings long-awaited closure. WGAL
- ➤ Volunteers from Kesher Israel Congregation served a Thanksgiving meal to first responders for over 20 years — they prepared and delivered a feast with turkey, corn, green beans, stuffing, gravy, and pies — to honor those who work on the holiday. Local 21 News
- ➤ A group of four in Enola will play pickleball nonstop for 48 hours over Thanksgiving weekend to set a new Guinness world record and raise money for charities (supporting homeless outreach, mental health, suicide prevention and childhood cancer). - ➤ The hit HBO series Task is set to film season two in Delaware County with the state investing nearly $50 million through the Film Production Tax Credit Program—filming in southeastern Pennsylvania will create over 3,700 jobs and add an estimated $194 million to the local economy.
