- ➤ Hanover Foods in Hanover was ordered to pay $1.15 million in penalties for over 600 water pollution violations between 2016 and 2021. The company will invest over $1.5 million in wastewater treatment upgrades — a plan awaiting judge approval — to fix its system and protect local waterways. ABC27
- ➤ Data center proposals have raised concerns about the power grid after GOP lawmakers on Tuesday said changes in environmental policies may help keep electric bills down + Senate majority leader Joe Pittman warned that more centers could strain supply. - ➤ Bridge Road in East Pennsboro Township reopened ahead of schedule after repairs that began on Oct. 24 — the early completion has eased travel for local residents. WGAL
- ➤ The House Energy Committee voted on two clean-energy bills on Tuesday—one to reduce fees for small modular nuclear systems and one to require new warehouses to be built solar-ready. - ➤ The Department of Energy closed on a $1 billion loan today — helping Constellation Energy restart Unit 1 at Three Mile Island as the project is now set for 2027. The company has hired hundreds of workers and nearly 80% of the staff — with 500 full-time employees in place. ABC27

- ➤ On Tuesday, the Crane Clean Energy Center in Middletown got a $1 billion loan from the Department of Energy, as Constellation announced. Senator Dave McCormick said the loan will restart the center—create 3,400 jobs and add over 800 megawatts of carbon-free electricity to help keep prices low and boost Pennsylvania’s GDP by more than $16 billion.
