- ➤ At Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic School in Middletown, eighth-graders served breakfast to veterans and active-duty military members yesterday in an annual Veterans Day program—meals prepared by the Knights of Columbus Council 3501 added a special touch to the event. PennLive
- ➤ On Tuesday morning, The GIANT Company donated 7,500 turkey breasts to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank in Harrisburg—team members also volunteered to pack hunger relief boxes to prepare for the busy holiday season as part of nearly 20,000 turkey products being donated across the region this November. - ➤ Community members and veterans gathered outside the PA State Capitol on Veterans Day, completing over 3,000 steps in a modified Chad Hero Workout to support veterans and raise awareness about mental health resources—Dauphin County Commissioner Justin Douglas said the event showed unity in the community. - ➤ Capital Region Water announced on November 10 that a boil water advisory was in effect for part of Harrisburg after a loss of positive water pressure on William Street—affecting addresses on William, North Fourth and Calder Streets. Residents were told to boil water or use bottled water for drinking, cooking, and brushing teeth until the issue is resolved. FOX43
