- ➤ Girl Scouts announced they will drop S’mores and Toast-Yay cookies next year to add a new flavor, while cookie fans can still buy them at local booths or online for three months while supplies last. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ At the Penn Waste Materials Recovery Facility in York, a new AI-enabled robot from Glacier sorts recycling with improved efficiency for hundreds of thousands of residents and businesses from York, Lancaster and the surrounding areas. The facility, upgraded after a 2022 fire, now has 32 employees who remotely operate the technology—boosting safety and recycling purity. WITF
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lower Paxton Township residents voted against hosting a fireworks display as 244 respondents opposed it while 211 supported the event—more than 400 residents participated, and township supervisors will meet Tuesday to review the results.
