- ➤ Rescue workers saved six kittens from a house fire in Cumberland County last week — after two days of bottle feeding, they found the mother cat, now named Phoenix, in the rubble and she began nursing her kittens at a shelter today. Local 21 News

- ➤ Gamut Theatre Group’s Season 33 production 'The Revolutionists' brings four women in Paris, 1793, who use friendship and courage to fight tyranny—director Kelli Kauterman keeps the pace brisk with humor and strong themes. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Four local wildlife technology students at Penn State DuBois gave a presentation to raise awareness about Chronic Wasting Disease among white-tailed deer—this disease spreads through bodily fluids and can remain in the environment for years. The presenters explained that brain scans are the most reliable way to detect the disease and urged residents to seek professional scans before eating deer meat. Local 21 News

- ➤ Eight new paid firefighters were sworn in Tuesday night in Lower Paxton Township—providing residents with a faster emergency response thanks to fire taxes that funded the new salaries. The trained team will serve alongside 75 volunteer firefighters in the township. ABC27
