- ➤ Owens & Minor Halyard Inc. will lay off about 75 workers at its distribution center at 500 Independence Ave. in Upper Allen Township starting November 28 over a 90-day period — the company will offer severance, COBRA and outplacement assistance to affected employees —. PennLive
- ➤ The new ALDI grocery store in Linglestown will open Thursday, October 16 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:00 a.m.—the first 100 customers will get a Golden Ticket valued up to $100 and an ALDI goodie bag. The store, located at Blue Ridge Village off Linglestown Road at 2020 EG Drive, will join other local retailers like Starbucks and Jersey Mike’s. ABC27

- ➤ Hershey Gardens is preparing to host Pumpkin Palooza—an annual fall event featuring more than 300 hand-painted pumpkins, creepy creatures and unique displays for visitors to enjoy savory and sweet treats. The event will take place on Oct. 18 and 19 and Oct. 25 and 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. WGAL
