Good morning, Harrisburg.

Local taprooms stepped in after Iron Hill closed 10 locations in Pennsylvania, offering support to customers and staff—measures aimed at easing the sudden business disruption—while details about ongoing help remain forthcoming.

After Iron Hill Brewery closed abruptly on Thursday, taprooms like Yah Brew and Bierhall helped customers and staff by offering free drinks, 20% off food, and shift opportunities—actions that show the craft beer community working together.

Since early last year, Sen. Dave McCormick and his wife have invested between $11.6 million and $27 million in Pennsylvania municipal bonds as part of a broader portfolio that also includes out-of-state bonds—earning tax exemptions on the interest.

Experts note that such bond investments are typical among high-income officials and are unlikely to pose conflicts of interest.

Mechanicsburg twins Liberty and Mary Olivetti share a strong bond as Mary is sidelined with an ACL injury this season while she helps coach their field hockey team.

Liberty plays on and both plan to return as seniors and join a Division One program at Syracuse next year — showing their determination to stay connected through the challenge.
