ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Dallas Cheddar, a dog rescued last week after getting her head stuck in a cheese ball jar, is recovering in a foster home while Hanover Foods pays her veterinary fees—volunteers said she likely got into the jar looking for a snack.  PennLive

CRIME NEWS

  • Derry Township police responded to a home invasion burglary and aggravated assault at a residence on the 600 block of Old West Chocolate Avenue when they found two stabbing victims; one victim was taken to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and the other later arrived on their own while the suspect, known to at least one victim, fled the scene and investigators continue working the case.  WGAL

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On November 4, voters will choose local officials such as tax collectors and auditors who collect taxes and check local finances. Many towns elect tax collectors—while fewer elect auditors—to fit their own government rules.  Spotlight PA
