ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • An apartment fire broke out at Steel Works Apartments in Steelton on August 9 at about 4:30 a.m.—no one was hurt but seven residents were displaced after unattended cooking started the blaze and a new sprinkler system helped control it.  ABC27
  • A multi-vehicle crash closed parts of I-81 in Dauphin County just after 9 p.m. Saturday near mile marker 67—PennDOT said a motorcycle and several vehicles were involved, no injuries were reported, and reconstruction is underway.  WGAL

CRIME NEWS

  • Police executed a search warrant on Friday at a tent in the homeless encampment on South Front Street near Interstate 83 and arrested Joshian Pacheco Ferrer, who is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm prohibited, and recklessly endangering another person in connection with a July 3 shooting that injured a man taken to a local hospital.  PennLive
  • A missing 15-year-old from Dauphin County returned home Saturday afternoon after her mother, Shanayia Hargrove, made an emotional plea on CBS 21; the girl was last seen leaving Sawgrass Court at 11:30 a.m. on Aug 4 (according to Swatara Township Police).  Local 21 News
