CRIME NEWS

  • Swatara Township police and a local family are searching for ZaBrea Richardson, a 15-year-old girl last seen leaving her home on Sawgrass Court at 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 4 — anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately.  Local 21 News
  • Dauphin County police charged Halifax mechanic Fares Farhat with 245 offenses including 43 felonies for selling counterfeit inspection stickers from October 2024 to July 2025 that let dangerous tractor-trailers run on local roads—he admitted to faking inspections during his interview.  PennLive

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • PennDOT launched a campaign called "Check Your Height, Know It’s Right" on Front Street near the Cumberland Valley Railroad Bridge to avert more than 600 bridge strikes in the past 10 years—drivers with tall vehicles must apply for a Special Hauling Permit and check 511PA for route restrictions. New signage will be posted on South Front Street this fall while no schedule is set for I-81 ramp signs.  Local 21 News

  • Local field hockey players Kendall Longenberger from Dillsburg and Madelynn Stahl from Palmyra played for USA Field Hockey’s U-16 National Team and now aim to join the U-18 team—gaining international experience against teams from the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany—while setting big goals for a future with Team USA.  FOX43
