- ➤ Crew members finished essential repairs on the Pride of the Susquehanna early Saturday—fixing its integrated sewage tank—so the boat will resume cruises along City Island within the next few weeks. The repairs were needed after the boat had been on shore since summer 2023, which had hurt its marketing value for local tourism. ABC27

- ➤ Mechanicsburg Police say a suspect is in custody after a homicide on East Marble Street — the investigation is in its early stages and there is no danger to the public. WGAL

- ➤ Luke Bryan and his crew had lunch at Hummelstown’s Rubber Soul Brewing on Saturday before his concert at Hersheypark Stadium. He returned to the stage after canceling some shows due to health concerns. PennLive

- ➤ Former TV news anchor Janelle Stelson launched her bid for Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District next year after moving to Cumberland County to address residency concerns following a narrow loss to Rep. Scott Perry last year+ she said her campaign will focus on Perry's record on economic policies and affordability as he seeks another term. WGAL
- ➤ State Sens. Dan Laughlin and Sharif Street introduced a proposal to legalize recreational marijuana by expanding the current medical system and reserving 15 licenses for small businesses—lawmakers would form a Cannabis Control Board to oversee the new regulations. The 181-page bill would also allow adults to possess and consume cannabis while offering steps to expunge nonviolent offenses, though no vote has been scheduled yet. PennLive
- ➤ Pennsylvania residents are set to receive checks worth up to $500 each through the Money Match program — the state Treasury had mailed 39,000 checks totaling over $9 million a couple weeks ago and will send another 40,000 letters in August. The program is designed to return unclaimed property to its rightful owners. PennLive
