- ➤ The Chrysler Nationals is underway at the Carlisle Fairgrounds from July 11 to July 13 where thousands of Chrysler vehicles from different generations are on display. FOX43
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ York County Regional Police and a U.S. Marshals fugitive task force arrested 19-year-old Ajanii Barnes at a York City residence on Friday in connection with the Christmas Eve shooting at a Sheetz parking lot in East Manchester Township that left 23-year-old Tivory Bartlett dead—police said Barnes is the last of the two suspects to be taken into custody. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, Veolia Water said residents in Marysville Borough, Susquehanna Township, Lower Paxton Township and Swatara Township experienced discolored water due to several events from June 22 to July 6—three main pipe breaks, a pump malfunction and usage surges stirred up minerals in the pipes. The company said hydrant flushing restored most water clarity, although some areas may still face discolored water. Local 21 News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Office of Administration announced a new commuter benefit that lets eligible state employees set aside part of their paycheck on a before tax basis for transit and parking expenses (fuel and use of personal vehicles are not eligible). The program, managed by financial technology company Jawnt, will lower commute costs and parking demand while encouraging mass transit use. ABC27
