- ➤ A Lancaster County man, Jordan Ortiz, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of simple assault after charges for choking his 23-year-old wife before her death in spring 2023 were mostly dropped (he was sentenced to up to 23 months in jail with credit for 50 days served and must be evaluated for a domestic violence intervention group).
