- ➤ On Saturday, June 21, Dwight Tubman, who had just moved into a rooming house on the 2100 block of Kensington Street, was stabbed to death during an argument over house cleanliness when Anthony Long, 37, attacked him; Long was arrested on murder charges. PennLive

- ➤ After 17 years of community effort, the historic Enola Miller House built in 1841 was saved from demolition and moved with 30 wheels to its new site at 51 Miller Street—where it now offers tours on 19th-century life.
