- ➤ Today an excessive heat warning is in effect until Wednesday for the lower Susquehanna Valley—temperatures will feel dangerously hot with heat indices over 100°F and a higher risk of heat-related illness on Monday and Tuesday, so residents are urged to stay hydrated and seek cool indoor areas. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Farmers in Franklin and York counties are fighting a proposed Transource 9-A project that will add nearly 30 miles of high-voltage power lines to Franklin County — a move they say endangers farmland and local livelihoods. The case is before a federal judge and could reach the Supreme Court, and a $9 million settlement has been arranged for affected areas if the project proceeds. Local 21 News
