ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A tractor-trailer struck a pole on Kost Road just south of Route 11 in Silver Spring Township Tuesday morning, leaving over 1,300 Cumberland County residents without power – PPL crews are working to restore service by 1 p.m.  WGAL

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Cumberland Valley School District voted Monday night on a new budget plan to address a $6.3 million deficit—raising property taxes by 14% and cutting programs such as music. Board members said the move aimed to stabilize district finances after years of drawing near the maximum tax rate while some residents remained skeptical.  Local 21 News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Adams County commissioners released a joint statement after Sheriff James Muller reportedly posted and then removed a Facebook image showing a white truck with red splatters and a caption reading 'The All New Dodge Ram Protester Edition'—they said his action undermined his duty to uphold the law and may encourage political violence with no comment from the sheriff yet.  WGAL

  • The Cedar Cliff baseball team celebrated its PIAA 6A championship win with a parade on Tuesday night as cars with hand-painted signs and fire trucks passed down Bridge Street in New Cumberland—fans cheered the team after their long, 13-inning win over North Penn.  WGAL
