- ➤ Michael Cashman and his wife turned to fostering after losing their first child. They now care for eight children (including three adopted daughters) and have found new purpose in parenting. FOX43
- ➤ Hersheypark is preparing guests today for heavy traffic as multiple events occur at the Hershey Entertainment Complex — including a Kendrick Lamar and SZA concert at Hersheypark Stadium and a graduation ceremony at the GIANT Center. Guests are advised to allow extra time for field parking, which opens at 12pm, and for walking to the venue since concert doors open at 5:30pm for a 7pm show. Local 21 News

- ➤ Officials from PJM Interconnection and FirstEnergy warned that rising summer heat and high energy use could stretch Pennsylvania’s aging power grid, putting extra pressure on the system. They said if extreme demand—triggered by soaring temperatures, planned plant shutdowns or growing digital needs—pushes the grid to its limits, managed outages will be used to prevent a full blackout. - ➤ Governor Josh Shapiro said that over 100,000 Pennsylvanians protested peacefully in urban, rural, and suburban areas on Saturday — he thanked the organizers and law enforcement for keeping the event safe and vowed to protect the right to protest. WGAL

- ➤ Country singer Jimmy Charles surprised ALS patient Pete Sawyer with a private hospital concert at Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill—bringing a rare moment of joy during his long fight against the disease.
