ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A crash involving three tractor—trailers shut down a stretch of Interstate 81 southbound lanes in Swatara Township at 2:36 a.m.—no injuries were reported and officials have yet to say when the road will reopen. WGAL
- ➤ A tractor-trailer crashed off Route 22/322 in Dauphin County near the Route 325 exit in Middle Paxton Township late Sunday night—crews worked to remove the vehicle and clear the blocked lane while no injuries were reported. WGAL
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center earned a three-star rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons for CABG, AVR, and multi-procedural composite surgeries based on data from 2022 to 2024. This rating places it among the nation’s top heart surgery centers and shows the expertise of its cardiac care team. Central Penn Business Journal
- ➤ PHA urged lawmakers to raise Medicaid rates as low pay pushes home care workers to leave, causing missed shifts—especially in rural areas. The group will offer free training and cash bonuses to recruit 1,300 caregivers while rates in neighboring states stay 23% higher, a gap that fuels the crisis. Central Penn Business Journal
