- ➤ The Shapiro Administration announced a $7.76M investment to expand teacher apprenticeship programs that help paraprofessionals and emergency-certified teachers earn full certification and fight teacher shortages in high-need areas (Capital Area Intermediate Unit, Wilson College, Keystone College, and Lancaster County Career & Technology Center will design tailored programs for local communities). GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Paul Miller’s Law will take effect tomorrow banning handheld phone use while driving after the law was inspired by the fatal accident in 2010. PennDOT officials said officers can pull over drivers for phone use at stop signs and on the road—issuing a written warning for the first 12 months before fines are applied starting in January.
