ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Firefighters from the New Kingstown Fire Company responded to a car fire on West Trindle Road in Mechanicsburg on May 12 and had the blaze under control by 8:30 p.m.—no injuries were reported and the cause remains unknown. Local 21 News

- ➤ A 20-year-old man strangled a woman until she was unconscious in Lower Paxton Township between 2:30 and 4 a.m.—he then stopped her from calling for help and faces charges of attempted homicide, strangulation, and intimidation of a witness while being held without bail. PennLive
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lower Paxton Township officials met on Tuesday (May 13) to propose hiring 10 paid firefighters to support three volunteer fire companies as emergency calls rose by 16 percent over the last year.
