- ➤ On May 6, 2025, Dakota Saunders, 21, shot a victim multiple times in the parking lot of Triple B Restaurant & Bar in Swatara Township after the man pulled out an unloaded gun upon hearing talk of being shot—police said Saunders fled in a red Jeep before later turning himself in and facing charges. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Wildfires in Michaux State Forest are now fully contained nearly two weeks after they broke out on April 23 and April 24. The Thompson Hollow Fire burned 2,248 acres and the Hammonds Rocks Fire burned 470 acres—no injuries or property damage were reported, and some roads remain closed as officials advise caution.
