- ➤ Church & Dwight Co. said it will lay off 195 employees at its Commerce Drive plant in Jackson Township starting June 30 after selling its vitamin business, including the VitaFusion and L'il Critters brands. PennLive

- ➤ On May 4, the Central Pa. Jedi Sith Alliance visited FOX43 to celebrate Star Wars Day and teach lightsaber fighting to the morning team; the Harrisburg-based group performs at local events and will appear later at a Senators game and Comic and Pop Con. FOX43
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Today, AAA reported that gas in the Harrisburg area cost $4.436 a gallon, up from $4.198 last week, while gas in the Lehigh Valley climbed to $4.445 from $4.123. National gas prices also rose amid supply dips and higher oil prices. Central Penn Business Journal
- ➤ Building trades unions and tech giants are teaming up to expand data center construction and boost apprenticeship programs in eastern Pennsylvania. Gov. - ➤ Two memorial ceremonies honor fallen law enforcement officers today in Harrisburg. The first ceremony is at 11 a.m. at the PA State Police Headquarters in Susquehanna Township and the second begins at 5 p.m. at the State Capitol, remembering officers including four from the Susquehanna Valley. - ➤ Citizens to Save the Allegheny Mountain is holding a press conference at 11:30 a.m. today at the state Capitol to voice its opposition to the proposed bypass around an aging tunnel (they warn the plan risks environmental damage, local wildlife disruption, and lost recreational opportunities).
