COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Hersheypark now requires photo reentry verification so that when guests leave the park they must have a matching photo taken (photo verification ensures same-day admission) while season pass holders scan their passes as usual.   • Triple P Fitness finished installing 3,300 sqft of synthetic turf at its riverfront North Front Street property last week (approved by the Harrisburg Zoning Hearing Board in August 2025), and will begin using the new space for outdoor training and classes late next week.  TheBurg

  • The Jewish Federation of Greater Harrisburg announced that Brenner Early Learning Center at Alexander Grass Campus will remain open until May 1, prompting parents to demand more details on its financial challenges. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Team Pennsylvania and the EFI Foundation launched a high-performance concrete initiative to boost durable, low-carbon concrete use (using slag and fly ash) across the state. HEALTH NEWS

  • CNS Occupational Medicine announced a new occupational health care clinic that will open on May 4 at 845 Sir Thomas Court (Suite 2) in Harrisburg. The 5,000 sqft facility will offer same-day work injury care, pre-employment and DOT physicals for local employers.  Central Penn Business Journal
  • State health officials reported a 28% drop in congenital syphilis cases, crediting disease intervention efforts where 90% of patients received treatment within two weeks.
