CRIME NEWS

  • Attorneys from the Dauphin County Public Defender's Office said they focused on suspect Cody Balmer's mental health after he was arrested for firebombing the governor's residence on Sunday while Governor Shapiro and his family slept—his legal team filed a petition to delay his probable cause hearing until his competency is reviewed.  PennLive

  • Governor Josh Shapiro made his first public appearance since his Sunday press conference about an arson attack at his residence—joining the Hershey Company at the opening of its new manufacturing plant at 1000 Reese Ave—where the facility will employ over 125 workers.  Local 21 News

  • Charter Homes and Neighborhoods transformed a century-old dairy farm in Carlisle into a modern neighborhood called Grange while preserving 45 acres and restoring the farmhouse and silo. The developer sold 55 homes and welcomed its 25th family—with Phase 2 construction expected to begin soon.  Central Penn Business Journal
