ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Yesterday marked the 46th anniversary of the partial meltdown at Three Mile Island in Dauphin County, where equipment malfunctions, design problems and worker errors led to major nuclear safety changes, and Constellation Energy plans to restart the reactor by the end of the second quarter in 2027 while investing $1.6 billion—Microsoft has agreed to buy power from the 835 MW plant for its regional data centers.  WGAL

CRIME NEWS

  • The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission warned customers about a phone scam in which a caller spoofing their number claims that an immediate payment is needed to cancel a service switch — the commission said it does not call consumers to demand payments and reported the scam to law enforcement.  Local 21 News
