ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • One person was hospitalized after an SUV crashed into a tree in Londonderry Township at 1:58 p.m. on Wednesday as the vehicle flipped and trapped the occupant for about 40 minutes before rescue crews freed them (on the 2700 block of Schoolhouse Road).  WGAL
  • Photos from the 1979 Three Mile Island accident show the region’s reaction and recall the plant’s history—TMI reopened after the partial meltdown, closed in 2019, and is expected to reopen by 2028 with $1.6 billion in restart plans to power a Microsoft data center.  PennLive

CRIME NEWS

  • Three firefighters face fraud and tampering charges for allegedly falsifying work hours to claim extra pay—police documents state their preliminary hearing is set for April 7.  Local 21 News

  • Two-time Grammy-winning R&B singer Chris Brown will perform at Hersheypark Stadium on Aug. 5th at 7 p.m.—he will lead his Breezy Bowl XX Tour with Summer Walker and Bryson Tiller.  WGAL

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Middletown Area High School is presenting Mary Poppins in a musical that features students from grades four through twelve and is directed by Kristen Zlogar and Matthew Landrum. The show opens today at 7 p.m.—with extra performances on March 29th at 7 p.m. and March 30th at 2 p.m.  FOX43
  • The Pennsylvania Senate Education Committee approved a bill that would require public school and college sports teams to be designated by biological sex—allowing students to seek legal action if they are injured by incorrect labeling. The bill now advances to the full state Senate for further consideration.  Local 21 News

  • Three Mile Island, closed in 2019 for economic reasons, is set for a restart as its owner said the $1.6 billion plan is on track — unit one is expected to go online in 2028.  PennLive
