- ➤ Swatara Restaurant and Bar at 5610 Derry St., Suite 9 will hold its grand opening on April 6 at 1 p.m. under new ownership led by Khagen Ghimirey & partners. The restaurant will offer a free buffet from 7 to 9 p.m. and a live performance by Himal Sagar while adding Nepali items to its Indian menu and extending its hours until 2 a.m. WGAL
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Lower Paxton Township police arrested three suspects on Tuesday at the Home Depot on Jonestown Road in Dauphin County — the suspects, Jhon Cardona-Alviz, Juan Mancera, and Christian Sanchez, are accused of stealing nearly $30,000 in tools and merchandise from stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York and are held without bail. - ➤ A York man named Kier Sims pleaded guilty Tuesday to involuntary manslaughter in Dauphin County Court after a fight at the illegal Steelton club (The Hideout) led to a patron’s death, and he will serve 2 to 5 years in prison. PennLive
- ➤ A New Bloomfield man, William Kurtz Jr. (45), allegedly set a house fire on the 1100 block of 2nd Street in East Pennsboro Township early March 25 that displaced 12 residents because a person owed him money, and police said he later led a high-speed chase, faced 58 charges, and remains in custody with bail set at $50,000 (in Cumberland County Prison). - ➤ In Dauphin County, the Millersburg Area School District launched its Big Brothers, Big Sisters program last October. On Wednesday, 25 bigs & littles took a break from class to swim at the local YMCA to build mentoring relationships. FOX43

- ➤ Six detained U.S. Bhutanese community members were moved from Pike County Prison to a facility in Elizabethtown and told they will be on a flight within 72 hours, according to spokesperson Narad Adhikari—families were informed of the plan but the flight's destination remains unknown.
