  • Three Adams County restaurants served customers from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday to raise funds for the family of 18-year-old soldier Krystofer Lopez, who died during a training exercise at LetterKenny Army Depot. EDUCATION NEWS

  • After a 4—4 tie vote at Tuesday’s school board meeting, assistant superintendent Marisol Craig will serve for another school year amid strong community support. The board will present a broader reorganization plan for the district later this spring.  TheBurg
  • Educators, lawmakers and literacy advocates gathered at the State Capitol Monday to call for increased funding for evidence-based reading programs, aiming to raise $50 million to boost school performance by building on last year’s $10 million from Act 47.  FOX43
  • The Harrisburg School Board renewed PA Steam Academy’s charter on Tuesday for five more years. The Midtown school, now serving K-6, is approved to expand to K-8 over the next two years and aims to teach 720 children by the 2030-2031 school year.  TheBurg
