ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On Tuesday at 2:37 a.m., a house fire displaced 11 people in East Pennsboro Township when residents tried fighting the blaze with fire extinguishers and buckets before crews arrived—no one was hurt and the American Red Cross is helping those affected while investigators work to determine the cause.  WGAL

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Private funding from foundations, a health system and United Way created hundreds of new child care spots in York County through ECHO grants that helped centers like Jack & Jill open new infant rooms, boosting options for local working families. Supporters say the funding will run out by the end of 2026—lawmakers are urged to find a lasting fix for low wages and provider shortages.  WITF

  • Pennsylvania Money Match is sending more than $1.7 million in refunds to over 7,000 residents today as Treasury automatically returns unclaimed funds.
