GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced that bridge beams will be set today and Tuesday night on the new 29th Street Bridge over I-83 and Norfolk Southern tracks in Swatara Township — Derry Street may see brief stoppages during this work. Additional beam placements are scheduled on Thursday through Monday nights as part of the East Shore Section 3 contract for the I-83 Capital Beltway Project. PennLive
- ➤ PennDOT is offering an online display of project plans for the Derry Street Bridge rehabilitation, with hard copy plans available at municipal buildings (Swatara Township and Paxtang Borough) until April 22. The project will replace beams, the deck, and parts of the bridge while causing up to four weekend closures, and work is set for 2027 and 2028. PennLive
