ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A report by Insurify found that in 2024 Pennsylvania’s car accident rate dropped nearly 14.26% from 2023 yet the state still ranked 18th among those with high accident rates, while Massachusetts recorded the highest rate at 6.07% (analysis based on nearly 100 million insurance quotes).  PennLive
  • Police reported a woman falsely claimed she was driving when her husband apparently rolled through a stop sign and collided with 22-year-old Nassan Campbell-Richardson’s car in East Hanover Township on March 30, 2024 — his mother now fears no charges will be filed.  PennLive

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The process to name a new U.S. Middle District magistrate judge in Williamsport has begun to replace Judge Arbuckle, who is retiring on June 7, as a panel (five attorneys and two laypeople) reviews 15 applicants and will send five names to active and senior judges to choose the replacement for an eight-year term.  PennLive
