  • Downtown Harrisburg will host the Coronet Park Event Series from April to November 2026, offering free live music, pop-up experiences & outdoor community events. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Residents saw smoke as the Pennsylvania Game Commission conducted prescribed burns on State Game Lands 210 in Jefferson Township and 211 in Middle Paxton Township yesterday. The burns improved wildlife habitat + reduced wildfire risk while fire crews monitored operations for safety.  WGAL

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • PennDOT said a maintenance crew will patch potholes on I-83 ramps near Harrisburg this weekend with northbound lanes closed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (with detours set) and southbound lanes similarly affected Sunday.  FOX43

HEALTH NEWS

  • WellSpan Health opened its new hospital in Newberry Township today to cut travel times for emergency care. The facility offers an emergency department, 10 inpatient beds, and on-site diagnostics (X‑ray, ultrasound) and operates 24/7.  Central Penn Business Journal

  • The Harrisburg-area housing market held steady in February with 389 home sales versus 398 last year, while median prices hovered around $278,000; Dauphin County saw a rise to $268,000, Cumberland County dropped to $300,000, and Perry County increased to 26 sales, according to the Greater Harrisburg Association of Realtors (GHAR).  TheBurg
