  • Pennsylvania Home and Garden Show is happening today at the PA Farm Show Complex where over 220 exhibitors display home products & services. Attendees can expect a wide range of home improvement ideas at this one-day event.  FOX43
  • Today, Harrisburg announced that the Allison Hill neighborhood is joining the Blueprint Community Initiative to boost city revitalization. The city will use the initiative to enhance local services and improve community spaces.  FOX43

CULTURE NEWS

  • The historic Hershey Theatre reopened last night after a 13-month renovation that improved Wi-Fi, LED lighting, and heating and air conditioning. The renewed venue is expected to boost downtown energy and support local businesses.  WGAL
  • An 18-foot statue (erected in 1986 to honor the Statue of Liberty’s 100th birthday) has become a cherished landmark along the Susquehanna River after a second version replaced the original. Its 40-year legacy still inspires locals passing by.  Local 21 News

  • Rabbit Transit is expanding its vanpool program for second- and third-shift workers in Cumberland, Dauphin, and York counties by adding five new vans that seat up to 14 passengers; the ride costs $40 per month for the first five months — rising to $80 from month six.  WGAL

  • Pa. Education Secretary Carrie Rowe + state education leaders answered questions as lawmakers reviewed the proposed budget for the Department of Education. Lawmakers continue to evaluate funding priorities for the state’s education system.  FOX43

  • York County teams are containing an oil spill from a salvage yard fire that happened last week at J&K Salvage by deploying booms in Codorus Creek (and its tributary) and will conduct boat operations on the Susquehanna River as water sampling continues.  WGAL

  • Pennsylvania lawmakers plan to study wildlife corridors to reduce animal-vehicle collisions after a State Farm study showed over 147,000 incidents last year. The design would include bridges or tunnels for animals to safely cross roads in PA.  Local 21 News
  • Pennsylvania Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding has opened matching grants of up to $381,810 to support nonprofits in promoting state-grown agricultural products. Nonprofits can apply until April 10 to boost market research and export development.  Central Penn Business Journal
