  • Plants + Pints returns to Strawberry Square on Sunday, Apr. 12 from 1 to 5 p.m. (tickets are $20 with kids under 12 free) and features over 40 plant-based vendors offering food and drinks; proceeds will support Downtown Daily Bread.  TheBurg
  • Downtown Harrisburg will host the free SoMa Block party series this May on S. 3rd Street between Market and Chestnut, where food trucks, drink vendors and live bands will energize the block.   • Harrisburg Young Professionals named Cody Goss as its new executive director after he served as part-time communications coordinator since 2024 — he will be officially introduced at the Feb. 25 annual meeting at Strawberry Square and plans to boost local professional engagement.  TheBurg

  • A sinkhole has closed Bartine Street between Boas and Herr Streets, and city public works are repairing the site — officials say no reopening timeline has been set.  Local 21 News

  • Reese’s grandson, 70, claims Hershey changed ingredients in some spin-off products by using compound coatings instead of milk chocolate in Mini Hearts + discarded a bag he found inedible. CULTURE NEWS

  • Harrisburg Midtown Art Center announced today it will close after failing to secure required licenses because of unpaid taxes, prompting local employees and patrons to urge City Council to act so the cherished venue can continue supporting local arts.  TheBurg

  • The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Harrisburg University announced the 6th annual launchU Startup Challenge for high school and college students, with applications open until March 6 and a virtual pitch event scheduled for May 13.   • West Church Road in Mechanicsburg Borough closed on Thursday, Feb. 19 for water service repairs by Veolia Water crews between Linda Drive and State Street near Trindle Spring Lutheran Church — officials say reopening time is unclear.  WGAL

  • Daisy Myer, a 16-year-old cancer survivor, rang the bell at Penn State Health Golisano Children's Hospital to mark her cancer-free milestone and celebrated her birthday (a full circle moment as her father danced at THON in 2001) as she now leads Mini-THON at Penn Manor High School.  WGAL
