- ➤ The Hershey Company will begin repairing the smokestacks off East Chocolate Avenue in Derry Township on Feb. 19 by repositioning and re-securing metal straps during an 11-hour operation (if weather delays, work will move to Feb. 20) in preparation for a spring restoration project. PennLive
- ➤ Thrive Housing Services (THS) opened a warming center for 10- to 24-year-olds near the Broad Street Market in Harrisburg. The center (operating from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.) offers meals, warmth, and social service referrals and is part of plans for low-income apartments and a pay-what-you-can eatery by November. WGAL
- ➤ Thrive Housing Services opened a warming shelter for youth experiencing homelessness yesterday (1122 N. 3rd St.) in Midtown, offering a safe space to rest, snack and connect with support services. They also plan to launch a pay-what-you-can restaurant and renovate apartments by year’s end, pending funding. TheBurg

- ➤ The Delaware River watershed (vital for drinking water and recreation) received $12.5M from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation to support 30 conservation projects across four states; Pennsylvania will use $4.3M of its share to restore habitats, improve water quality and boost public boating access. - ➤ Green Lumber updated its consumer alert on Feb. 13 regarding counterfeit dietary supplements sold in genuine packaging that contain tadalafil. The recall targets only lot LOT308EXP03/28 and customers should discard any product with that number immediately. PennLive
