  • Lebanon Rescue Mission is set to triple its capacity with a new facility focused on women, children, and seniors. The organization will break ground on March 12 — this expansion aims to better meet local homeless needs.  FOX43

CULTURE NEWS

  • GRAMMY Award-winning country singer Tim McGraw will perform at Hersheypark Stadium on Saturday, July 11, with special guests The Chicks, Lady A, 49 Winchester, and Timothy Wayne. Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 6 at 10 a.m.  FOX43

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • A clipper will cross the Great Lakes into Pennsylvania on Friday and may bring up to an inch of snow that could create hazardous road conditions in the Susquehanna Valley (WGAL forecast). Gusty winds will follow, dropping lows into the single digits with subzero windchills this weekend.  WGAL
  • Veolia Water is conducting routine hydrant flushing today in Susquehanna Township from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with extra salt trucks and staff on standby to manage icy conditions in cold weather (customers may notice discolored water and reduced pressure).  Local 21 News

  • Keystone Contractors Association opposed HB 1541 in a statement today — warning that the bill would undermine the business climate by increasing litigation and delaying construction projects across Pennsylvania.  Central Penn Business Journal
  • Revenue Secretary Pat Browne reported that Pennsylvania collected $3.9 billion in General Fund revenue for January, which exceeded budget expectations by $178.2 million, and fiscal year-to-date collections reached $25.5 billion + bolstering essential state services + as fiscal management remains on target.  Central Penn Business Journal

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Pennsylvania Health Care Association launched Care for the Aging today to boost the state’s long-term care workforce. The initiative offers career education, success stories, and a job portal (linking local facilities with job seekers) to address caregiver shortages.  Central Penn Business Journal

  • PIAA announced changes to high school soccer for 2026 by ending overtime in regular games and moving championship matches to *Highmark Stadium* in Pittsburgh. Local coaches said the update aims to boost player safety and revise game strategy.  FOX43
