- ➤ Homeless shelters are preparing to open warming stations ahead of forecasted frigid weather — temperatures are expected to drop to their lowest levels since February across South Central PA. FOX43
- ➤ Local groups will light an 11-foot Douglas fir tree and host caroling, crafts, cocoa and s'mores at Broad Street Market on Saturday, Dec. 6, starting at 5 p.m.—music will begin at 4 p.m. inside the stone building and the free event aims to bring the community together. TheBurg
- ➤ Since Dec. 1, nonprofits in south central Pa have opened cold-weather shelters to help unsheltered residents beat the cold. At Carlisle (capacity 40 until March 31) and other sites in Harrisburg, Lancaster, Lebanon, and York, people can access overnight beds during the winter months. PennLive

- ➤ Pennsylvania plans to spend almost $20 million to extend satellite internet to 20,000 locations, including 4,800 via SpaceX and 18,000 via Amazon & pending federal approval by early December.
