- ➤ Saint Joseph Catholic School in Hanover sparked outrage on Halloween when its float featured a replica of the Auschwitz gate with an inscription reading Arbeit Macht Frei—Bishop Timothy C. - ➤ Today a vehicle crashed into the gymnasium at Hoover Elementary School in Camp Hill—police confirmed no injuries as emergency crews investigated while students were dismissed early and traffic was restricted around the area. WGAL

- ➤ Data from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor shows that Cumberland County's largest employers include government agencies, colleges, warehouses, retailers, healthcare systems and nonprofits. - ➤ Harrisburg University's Forensics program represented itself at the NEAFS Annual Meeting in Lancaster on November 4—faculty Dr. Jill Yeakel and Carrie Wise joined three students who engaged with forensic experts. - ➤ Capital Region Water said recent major system maintenance disturbed the distribution process, causing naturally occurring minerals like iron and manganese to suspend temporarily and turn water brown for some residents in Harrisburg. The company said its crews will monitor water quality and advised customers to run cold tap water for several minutes to clear the discoloration before using the water for laundry. Local 21 News

- ➤ The 138-year-old Sheepford Road Bridge—built in 1887—was lifted from its supports by Kinsley Construction using a crane and will be taken apart, fixed, painted, and returned for pedestrian use in the spring of 2026. PennLive
