  • The Harrisburg Catholic bishop apologized Friday for a school float in Hanover’s Halloween parade that featured a replica of the Auschwitz gate bearing the phrase Arbeit Macht Frei—a symbol linked to hate during WWII. ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A team of emergency workers rescued a 1,200-lb horse stuck in a muddy pond in Palmyra Friday at 6:28 p.m. using a tow truck and animal sled — the animal is unharmed after help from fire officials and a veterinarian.  Local 21 News

  • The Harrisburg Diocese condemned a float from Saint Joseph Catholic School in Hanover that showed a replica of the Nazi Auschwitz gate with the words 'Arbeit Macht Frei' during a recent Halloween parade.
