- ➤ Last month, East Pennsboro Township held a ribbon-cutting for a new 2.47-megawatt solar array at 750 S. Humer St. on its former landfill that will save $16.6 million in energy costs over 40 years—officials said grazing sheep are used to manage the grass with minimal mowing required. PennLive
- ➤ The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will trim trees along Route 147 starting Oct. 13 to prep for nearly 5 miles of resurfacing planned for next year. - ➤ The FDA announced that Sprouts Farmers Market recalled its Smoked Mozzarella Pasta Salad because of possible Listeria contamination affecting products sold in Pennsylvania and 23 other states between August 31 and October 7.
