- ➤ Hersheypark & ZooAmerica are hosting Halloween events throughout October to welcome families with fun themed activities. The parks will feature special nighttime experiences and attractions as the festive season unfolds. FOX43

- ➤ Susquehanna Township School District is asking for a tax referendum to fund a new school because enrollment grew by 500 since 2017 and current classrooms are near full capacity—if the vote passes, a $270 occupational tax will be replaced with an earned income tax increase while protecting fixed income earners. - ➤ The Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association held its 2025 Fall Legislative Conference at the Hershey Country Club this week, drawing industry leaders, lawmakers and policy experts to discuss legislation, regulation and the fight against organized retail crime. - ➤ College students in Pennsylvania who meet residency and citizenship requirements can register to vote for the Nov. 4 municipal election using either a college or family address, with any registration updates due by Oct. 20. - ➤ Crews are demolishing old toll plazas along the Pennsylvania Turnpike’s Northeast Extension to make way for the new Open Road Tolling system—motorists will see new access routes and signage during construction.
