CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The Pennsylvania State Police updated the '10 Most Wanted' list by adding two men wanted in separate murder cases and a truck driver accused of killing a tow truck worker along Interstate 81—details are available on their website. PennLive
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Game warden April Whitsell said that residents should not touch young wildlife during birthing season because many fawns and other animals are born in suburban areas to keep them safe. Officials said to call 833-PGC-HUNT if anyone finds an animal that looks sick, abandoned or hurt. Local 21 News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Thursday, Governor Josh Shapiro joined 15 other states in a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Education after it ended access to nearly 185 million dollars promised for Pennsylvania schools to recover from the COVID19 pandemic. His office said that without the funds, schools that began upgrades such as new HVAC systems are now at risk—leaving taxpayers to bear extra costs. Local 21 News
- ➤ Pennsylvania Senator Dave McCormick introduced a joint resolution to amend the Constitution and set term limits for Congress—Senators would serve two six-year terms and house members six two-year terms, with limits not applying to those in office before the 118th Congress. Local 21 News
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The FDA announced a recall of more than 2,000 pounds of Blue Ridge Beef pet food—found to be contaminated with Salmonella and Listeria. The recall covers 1,080 pounds of Kitten Mix and 1,380 pounds of Puppy Mix sold from January 3 to 24, and tests on March 20 led to the recall so consumers should return or dispose of the products and clean pet feeding supplies.
