- ➤ Central Pennsylvania high school senior Jeremiah Stepp was honored by the American Red Cross Central Pennsylvania Chapter at Dauphin County Technical School for saving his father's life by performing CPR when his father collapsed on Nov. 25, 2025. The recognition also served to teach other students life-saving CPR techniques + underscoring the importance of quick action. WGAL
- ➤ Members 1st Charitable Foundation awarded $50K in grants to 12 local nonprofits in its first 2026 cycle, supporting financial education, youth programs, health access, and community enrichment across local counties. - ➤ A gas leak forced an evacuation at Central Dauphin East High School Tuesday morning; officials reported students & staff were moved to Central Dauphin Middle School while parents began picking up their children and traffic was restricted in the area. WGAL

- ➤ Harrisburg is partnering with M and T Bank and Harrisburg University on its fifth annual accelerator program to support local small businesses downtown. The eight-week program begins April 29 and runs through June 17 — offering a pitch competition for 40 businesses to boost growth and revitalize downtown. WGAL

- ➤ Mayor Wanda Williams said vandals caused $40K to $50K damage near 7th and Radnor by climbing the fence and damaging seating, benches and plants; the city will add locks and install cameras while urging parents to keep kids out until repairs finish by May 1. Local 21 News
