About this event
All are invited to join us on Sunday, November 8, 2026, for a performance by the Harrisburg Harp Orchestra. Harps are the oldest string instrument, but you rarely have the opportunity to hear them, especially as an ensemble – don’t miss this unique experience
The Harrisburg Harp Orchestra includes a membership of more than 150 harpists and 70 other musicians from Pennsylvania, New York, Washington DC, and Maryland. The full orchestra and smaller “chamber” ensembles perform at music festivals and concerts throughout Pennsylvania. Dedicated to promoting the beauty and flexibility of history’s oldest stringed instrument, the Orchestra presents unique harp-based concerts featuring all genres of music, including Renaissance, classical, opera, sacred, Celtic, Broadway, popular, jazz, country, folk, and rock-and-roll! Harrisburg Harp Orchestra is recognized as one of the largest harp ensembles in the United States. The orchestra’s original compositions featuring multiple harp parts are arranged by composer Louis Lynch. They have been published and commissioned for use by colleges and harp ensembles worldwide.
Doors open at 2:30pm, with the concert beginning at 3:00pm. All concerts are free and open to the public!
Listed by Lower Susquehanna Synod (The Events Calendar), gathered by the Harrisburg events calendar.
